House Arrest

from The Long Afternoon by The Far Stairs

/

about

This is the first song I wrote after I moved back to Denver. It's a nice little hopeless number with crazy synth-horns by Andrew.

A note about the lyrics: the one guy I knew from Milan, Michigan did end up in jail, but I've never been there, so I don't know for a fact that everybody there is mean. I was really just using Milan as a stand-in for everywhere. Also, I once said "Milan, Michigan" on the radio but pronounced it "mill-AHN," like the Italian city. I got lots of calls from people in Milan, Michigan about that, so at the very least they're grammatically on the ball.
